The conclusion of the Division 3 Championship was a HUGE success for Ponderosa!

You can see all results from the meet HERE.

Varsity Boys 4×800 went Tuesday night, Bruins came in FIRST, set a new school record and move onto the masters meet with Braden Himley, Jack HInsz, Jack Bowker, and Hayden Brooks.  The other Bruin Section Champion was Josh Chu in the 1600m with a new school record and winner AGAIN in the 3200m!  Hayden Brooks took the bronze and 3rd in the 1600m, Kaden Nelson also took the bronze and 3rd in the 3200m.  Grady Morris took 5th in the 800m to clench a spot @ the Masters Meet and made the top 10 all time list Ponderosa’s 800m!  Jack Bowker hit the @ Large mark for the 1600m and moves onto Masters with all of the for mentioned distance boys.  Outside of the distance varsity boys Max Jenkins took 6th in the 300m hurles, pointed for the Varsity Boys and moves onto Masters as well!  Emmy Angelo took 3rd in the 3200m (as a freshman), moves onto the masters meet and made the top 10 all time list for the girl’s 3200m @ Ponderosa!!!

The night concluded with Ponderosa being announced as the second place team @ SECTIONS for the Varsity Boys!  In fact we only lost the section banner by 2 points.  It actually came down to the last race 4×4 when Vista Del Lago anchor leg passed the team in first down the home stretch to to take the 4×4 win, another 10 points for their team and to squeak by Ponderosa for the banner by only two points!  Should they had finished 2nd we would have tied for the Section Title.  Now hold onto your seats… the Bruin Varsity Boys won the 2nd place Section Plaque with ALL DISTANCE POINTS and Max Jenkins as recapped above.
